Ptech
is a total solutions company that leverages its
industry leading Enterprise FrameWork™ technology to develop
custom management oversight solutions enabling organizations
to become intelligently agile.
Ptech's solutions incorporate a unique and
comprehensive web environment that integrates an
enterprise’s business landscape, strategic intent,
value chains, processes, organizational structures,
knowledge, skills, business rules, applications,
information and technology infrastructures.
Ptech's target market is Global 2000 companies
and governmental organizations that want to more
quickly achieve their strategic intent and rapidly
respond to change.

Enterprise FrameWork™ provides a neutral foundation
that can support any methodological approach to
business process modeling or application development.
It offers a single, integrated modeling environment
that enables business users and application developers
to share models, capture the relationships between
business processes and application designs, and
build upon each other’s work.
Enterprise FrameWork™ provides modeling capability
supporting business landscape, strategic intent,
value chains, processes, organizational structures,
knowledge, skills, business rules, applications,
information and technology infrastructures.
The Customization Kit provides users the ability to
customize the FrameWork™ modeling environment to
support modeling methods beyond those contained
in Enterprise FrameWork™ or the available Ptech
Accelerators. Your
customization can include new modeling concepts,
tools, forms, icons and queries, all created using
the same easy user interface.
Additionally, the Customization Kit lets
you design entirely new FrameWork™ reports or create
custom code generators.
The Ptech KnowledgePortal™ (PKP) provides executives
and knowledge workers with personalized web-based
access to critical information, within the context
of their enterprise architecture captured in Enterprise
FrameWork™, making it meaningful and actionable. Such critical information is accessed dynamically
from their organization’s operational systems. The interface presented to each user is automatically
customized based on the roles they have in the organization. A PKP solution will include the creation of
custom executive control panels that give managers
monitors and scorecards that measure the organization’s
key performance indicators. Once a PKP solution is deployed it will enable
the enterprise to dynamically and swiftly react
to an ever-changing environment and to empower the
organization to leverage its assets and core competencies.
The Ptech FrameWork™ Military Information Architecture
Accelerator enables military information architects
and decision makers to create a comprehensive, concordant
context for planning and managing change in the
information-related capabilities that are critical
to the success of military operations and enterprises.
With domain-specific metamodels based on
concepts and behavior rules adapted from the DoD
C4ISR Architecture Framework, the CADM, and operational
experience, the MIAA creates and automatically enforces
a consistent taxonomy (artifacts, interrelationships
and rules) throughout all operational, system, and
technical view products.
The MIAA also incorporates the ability to
organize architecture data according to Zachman,
Boer and other architecture frameworks, and provides
file-based interfaces to the Joint C4ISR Architecture
Planning System (JCAPS) and powerful discrete event
simulation capability (Design/CPN).
Ptech and Process Renewal Group (PRG) recently joined
forces to create a new FrameWork tool kit that incorporates
the Process Renewal method developed by PRG founder,
Roger Burlton. Process Renewal Accelerator captures each of
Burlton’s eight phases, which define how to identify
business drivers, stakeholders and their requirements,
and other key aspects of a business architecture.
The Process Renewal Accelerator provides
a powerful in-context methodology in the same environment
where the actual process improvement models are
created. This enables process-centric strategies to
be linked upward and downward to tactical improvement
initiatives and a full process management environment
to evaluate stakeholder performance.
Ptech recently formed an alliance with Business Rule
Solutions (BRS), the recognized world leader in
the advancement of the Business Rule methodology.
Founded by Ronald G. Ross and Gladys Lam,
BRS has helped pilot the explosive worldwide growth
of business rules.
Business Rules Accelerator captures the Business
Rule methodology and focuses on business-driven
techniques to improve your ability to meet requirements
and achieve more effective communication with users.
Business Rules Accelerator utilizes a knowledgebase
and graphical notations toolkit to capture, analyze,
and collaborate on business rules.
It provides comprehensive traceability of
rules and allows users to examine the relationships
between rules.
IT Architecture Accelerator (ITAA) provides an architecture-based
approach for managing technology assets and aligning
them with enterprise business requirements. ITAA
enables the capture of IT assets such as applications,
databases, platforms, networks, cost information,
and business drivers in an integrated fashion and
ties the IT strategic plans to the business strategic
plan. This
integrated architecture can be published regularly
to the Web with the graphical models to communicate
and obtain consensus on IT directions and activities
and analyze the impact of proposed changes.
KMA provides an architecture-based approach for mapping
the enterprise’s value stream from customer needs
to the required enterprise capabilities (“Know Why”
knowledge). The KMA also explicitly models all of the specific components of
business capability (including “Know How” knowledge)
required to satisfy these customer needs.
Ptech solutions utilizing the KMA enable
the capture and maintenance of knowledge capital
such as explicit and tacit knowledge as well as
knowledge processes, such as learning cycles.
KMA also supports Causal Architecture™ modeling that
dynamically links Business and IT strategies and
implementation projects in the Zachman Framework
as well as Community of Practice modeling and analysis.
